"Made in Space" tags aren't too far off - NASA is planning to send a zero-gravity 3D printer to the International Space Station in 2014. Here comes "a future where space missions can be virtually self-sufficient." That life-or-death missing washer can be printed at any astronaut's whim. "Consumables" are also in store - astronauts can say goodbye to unfulfilled space-cravings! The 3D printer will be, in theory, available to astronauts from any of the 15 member countries. Question for NASA: will the 3D printer also be available to aliens?
